Key Responsibilities:

Director (Business Compliance)

Responsibilities: 

  • Advise the business on regulatory requirements relating to sales and trading activities of fixed income derivative products; 
  • Develop and maintain an effective control framework and regime designed to identify, manage and mitigate regulatory risks on EQD and FICC business;
  • Lead the implementation of new regulations and accordingly to develop new policies and procedures in meeting the evolving regulatory requirements;
  • Handle regulatory enquiries and liaison, dealing with regulators for the EQD and FICC business line;
  • Represent and participate in compliance forums;  
  • Provide compliance update to regular management meeting;
  • Drive/Co-ordinate the regulatory projects on the EQD and FICC business; 
  • Liaise with overseas offices on EQD and FICC business and products compliance related work;

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Accounting or related fields
  • Minimum 10 years of compliance advisory experience on EQD and FICC business;  
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of fixed income derivative products (primarily Fixed Income Sales & Trading, FX/Rates, Investment Banking and Capital Markets);
  • Familiar with the Hong Kong securities laws and regulations especially the ones that directly impacting the EQD and FICC business; 
  • Good communication skills in English and Mandarin

Responsibilities:

  • Distribute best-in-class investment ideas and solutions to our Institutional Clients
  • Maintain and develop deep client relationships and drive revenue
  • Work in partnership with GCM team to distribute the firm’s primary and secondary equity financing projects
  • Work with traders and research analysts to promote customized and standardized equities research products. 
  • Work with trading and structuring on a wide array of derivative and custom solutions, managing internal workflow post-trade with Operations and Credit.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or above with major in finance, business administration or related academic discipline

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for documents review and terms negotiation with solution sales, legal team, risk team and counterparties
  • Carry out customer needs analysis and then propose custom solutions which that the product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and suitability
  • Provides supports to marketing material / pitch book preparation and to assist with solution sales to prepare investment analysis reports for investors
  • Coordinate with trading team and check daily product pricing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Finance or related discipline. Master’s degree is a plus
  • At least 3 years of experience in credit, repacks and repos, understands how lending transactions are structured and is familiar with the related documentation
  • Understand China credit market, experience in credit structuring and structured products is a plus
  • Good command of both Chinese and English. Fluency in Mandarin is a must

Sales Assistant

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain high level of organization in a fast paced environment to coordinate sales schedules / travel, marketing trips, client meetings and general office management.

Supervisory Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the equity research team with the production of high-quality, compliant and accurate research material in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Responsible for proof-reading, editing and correcting errors in all communications and ensure correct usage of grammar and wordings.
  • Direct writers and typically need to exercise tact when requiring changes in a story.
  • Possess general scientific knowledge of the fields covered in Equity Research and be skilled in the arts of writing, editing, critical assessment, negotiation and diplomacy.
  • Identification and selection of theme issues and supplements, conflict of interest and disclosure etc.
  • Review the content of a research report to assess the accuracy, consistency and sources of data and calculations included in the report.

Market Risk Associate/Analyst (Fixed income/Equities)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day risk management of FICC and equity positions, analyze large P/L events, VaR movement, ensure limits are well monitored and properly reported, identify material risks and propose risk mitigations;
  • Create and produce/automate risk monitoring reports (daily, weekly, monthly) with a number of risk management measures including performance and attribution analysis, concentration analysis, stress testing, beta and VAR calculation etc on regular basis
  • Conduct ad hoc investigations and analysis into risk, market, or modeling issues as needed.
  • Perform weekly/monthly price verification and analysis to ensure pricing to fair value
  • Liaise regularly with Front Office trading in the implementation of risk controls and ensure that issues identified (limit breach, incomplete or inadequate risk monitoring, system problems) are addressed in timely manner.
  • Provide reporting to local and HQ Business, Risk, and Regulatory stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other corporate functions on issues of common interest (e.g. Finance on valuation and P&L, operations).

 Requirements: 

  • Around 3-5 years working experience in market risk function in a global or big Chinese investment bank/securities house
  • Solid excel and VBA macro skills required; other IT skills e.g. SQL and database, preferred.
  • A good/solid understanding of market risk (such as VaR, sensitivities, stress) and the equity/FICC markets and products preferred
  • Quantitative background in Science/Mathematics/Financial Engineering/Risk Management, CFA/FRM is a plus
  • Good communication skills in English and Mandarin
